Thanks so much to all who entered and made this a great Triple Crown!! No TC winner this year, but a lot of great horses ran and did very well, I hope to see them all around in Sim for years to come!! Those of you who placed 1st-3rd in any of the Triple Crown races, please contact me asap if you want to claim your breeding!
The Results Okay, this is how the results were decided. I randomized (using the Sim Directory Randomizer) the field (3) times. The placings were then put next to each horse's name (see Randomized Results for actual format). I randomize multiple times because it makes it more like the 'best' horse wins (or the luckiest!) Then I added the number of places away from 1 (the desired result) together, which gave me the number that is in (#). Horses who placed 1 in the randomizer results had 1 point subtracted from their total. The lower the number, the better the placing. Example: a horse placing 2, 7 and 1 would have a total of 6 (2nd is 1 place from 1st, 7 is 6 places from 1st = 7. Minus 1 (for the 1st place) = 6 points. Horses receiving the same total were simply randomized to break the tie. I think I've explained it pretty clearly, but if you have questions, just let me know.
