Congratulations to all the horses who raced this year! It was a tight race for the top three positions and the whole field was pretty tightly packed. Hope to see everyone back for the next jewel of the Triple Crown, the Preakness!
Purse 1st - 50% of total purse + free breeding or custom create of your choice 2nd - 25% 3rd - 12% 4th - 8% 5th - 5%
The Kentucky Derby 2010 - Grade I - 1 1/4 - 3yo - open gender - dirt - $2,185,200 purse 1st - S Echoed Passion (5) 2nd – Hoarfrost (6) 3rd – Cool Catch (6) 4th – Tropical Storm (9) 5th – S Issued Notice (13) 6th – Suddenly Seattle (14) 7th – Freezing Rain (15) 8th – S Candy Striper (18) 9th – Eurostorm (19)
Explaination of how placings are randomized (for Triple Crown Races only) - Randomize 3 times - Write out the placings for each horse (ie 1st, 7th, and 9th) - ADD the number of places away from first together for the total (ie 6+8 = 14) - SUBTRACT 1 ‘point’ for a 1st place finish (14 – 1 = 13) - Number in (#) is your deciding factor (lowest number wins) - Ties are broken by randomizing horse names once
